A beautiful miracle baby, born into a very caring family. May the miracles continue. May all of us hope and pray for the best.

Lat week Toby had to go into hospital rather suddenly as he was unable to cough properly. He was sucked out and Kathryn has been given a suction machine for when this happens again. We had to deal with this with Jake, so it's not entirely unexpected.
Yesterday he went to the doctors, because he had trouble breathing. The doctor is not sure at this piont whether or not it's an infection. Only time will tell. Toby has an immpecable sense of timing!! |

All Kathryns' kids (including Toby) had chicken pox last week
They ghave all recovered now without any ill effects. Toby is off up to London again next week. He will be staying overnight. Kathryn started Toby on some different baby food the other week. He's really loving it. (the little? porker) |

Toby came back from London last week.
The doctors say that he's not swallowing like he should do, so they've fitted him with a nasal feeding tube. Kathryn is also going to learn how to suck him out through his nose, it can give better results than ordinary suctioning. The physio says he's about 50%. His legs are very weak, but his arms are quite strong. Next month he'll be going up to see if he will take to a bi-pap machine to help him breathe. It seems that some babies don't take to it as when the mask goes over the face, they stop breathing. They're also going to look into the possibility of getting a cough assist machine on loan from The Jennifer Trust. |
