Can't change back from "minimal impact" to "custom profile"

Hi alltogether!
My problem is: some days ago in the device manager I changed from "custom profile" (the default) to "minimal impact". Now I want to go back to "custom profile". But saving the change does not work! What can I do to go back to "custom profile"?

"Custom Profile" doesn't actually change any of your settings, it just allows you to alter them yourself. I'm afraid you will have to adjust the settings manually - or you could just set it to "Maximum Output".

Thanks for Your reply. It wasn't just what I expected to read. But: after trying and changing quite a lot, almost everything in the device manager - besides selecting "max. output" - I came back to having permanently selected "custom file". This one I can obviously customize.

Addendum:
Crucial was: First selecting "custom profile"; set "Do work while computer is in use" to "Yes".

Re: Can't change back from "minimal impact" to "custom profile"

The approach to take and proven working:

If wanting set up a custom profile starting from a minimal set, select Minimum Impact and save. After visit the Custom profile. Same way goes for wanting to start with customizing the 'Maximum Output'

Obviously, if you think you made a mess, simply select 1 of the 2 standard profile to get back to predefined defaults.

Re: Can't change back from "minimal impact" to "custom profile"

Actually, the way it works is more confusing.

The preset "Minimum Impact" and "Maximum Output" options only set some of the basic options for you. All the other preferences are left as you set them, or at their default values.

Further, if these basic preferences match the minimum or maximum settings, then when you return to your profile, it will be shown as minimum or maximum, even though you may have set it to custom earlier.

It sort of makes sense if you don't think about it too hard... ;-)

Re: Can't change back from "minimal impact" to "custom profile"

Actually, I'd not expect anything else, since the profiles are designed to preset the 'performance' side, thus 'work when idle' versus 'work all the time' it would do, but running with 0.3 days connect or 3.0 has no bearing on it, merely giving the lead how to get them back wink
