With yesterdays figures of 66 years 165 days of run time in a day, we just beat IBM's Blue Gene/L (The worlds fastest supercomputer) for raw number crunching potential !
----------------------------------------That's the equivalent of 24255 Athlon 2700+ equipped PC's on for the full 24 hours! Each PC is capable of 2.9 Gflops added together makes 70.3 TereFlops which just beats the 70.2 TereFlops that Blue Gene/L is capable of today OK I'm ready for the abuse which normally comes with such posts but the above statement is true. David,
Ok, do you mean that the IBM team just called in the heavy artillery in order to re-gain the #1 position again......?  If they do I'll like to know if they publish the stats of this biggy....  If the machine performs well I'll might considering of bying one myself  This crunching is becomming a addiction Damn'd the CPU's full crunch ahead  |
