----------------------------------------This blog mentions "quantum cancer dots", a promising test with 36 dots of different volatile organic compounds. Blowing across these may cause a color change in one or more, not even apparent to the eye. A machine can read them and decide. They also talk about a breathilyzer test for lung cancer.

Very promising, given the right imaging technique. I can imagine
mass produced cards with the dots filled in Ishihara fashion, to produce a different code number for each detectable disease. |
