There are no DRUGS yet designed to treat existing 'High Risk' CANCER causing type HPV infections. There is only a vaccination designed to prevent High Risk HPV infections from occurring in younger women. I would take a guess that only a smaller percentage will actually be vaccinated.

I agree that diseases like HEP C need better treatments so. I think they might have some existing drugs for that disease already. At least some drugs are available for that disease even if not totally effective.

Also, MEN cannot be tested for an HPV infection! MEN can carry that virus for a long time and possibly spread it without ever knowing it.
