I have a Linux box and a Windows box working full time. I can see the Windows device on the WCG website, but the Windows box has disappeared from the dropdown list in device statistics. It is still accepting and processing work, but WCG seems to have lost track of it. Any ideas?

Hello Frihet,
Normally this occurs if you registered the computer under another name. That does not seem to be the case here, though. When BOINC starts up, one of the first messages lists your computer ID number. Use 'Contact Us' to send a query to support with your Computer ID number and member name. Somebody will look in the server database Monday to find out what is happening. Lawrence |

Hi, Lawrence.
I don't see a "Computer ID", but the device ID is 541604. Is this what I'm looking for (UD client) Also, where is the "Contact Us" link? Thanks! |

The answer is that UD devices cant be seen in the Result Status page where i suspect you've been looking and not the Device Statistics page. U could migrate your UD client to BOINC for windows at which time you will see both.

Ok, I have installed the BOINC client and it is running. Can I uninstall the UD client and migrate the Points earned under the UD client to the BOINC client?

I have deleted the UD client. The BOINC client is running fine.
