I just saw ... the work unit completed in less than 10% it normally take.
----------------------------------------Most likely a problem on my comuter, and then some bug with the error message. ID: faah1932_ d017n467_ x2AZC_ 01_ 1 Status: Valid Sent time: 07/20/2007 13:43:12 Return time: 07/23/2007 13:32:10 CPU time: 5.19 Credit claimed: 9.4 / Granted: 65.6 I would prefer if this WU could be resent. -- best regards |

If it's marked as "Valid", then it isn't your computer's fault.
The techs may want to double-check it, though. |

We occasionally see obscure short or zero run time reporting and the WU still validating. It's interesting to know which client version, official or alternate build, and what OS was running.

Yes.
----------------------------------------I see what I can collect. Where should I send the data? The Forum seems to be possibly not the right place. I have checked on some other machines, and the WU compute time is varying, but no one is even close to this short. |

Send it with the Device/Host ID (a 5 or 6 digit number), to support@worldcommunitygrid.org, but tell us anyhow here the version info and OS. Might help us correlate with other posted anomalies.

The HPF2 WU I am still computing has already two "Pending Validation" results (out of 9) showing Time 0.00 and Claimed 0.0. In addition to the problem that may be behind these figures I am wondering: are these zeroes contributing to the Granted value?
----------------------------------------Those WUs are le725_00025_9_15-- and le725_00025_9_18-- (and mine is le725_00025_9_9--). Cheers. Jean. |

Jean,
----------------------------------------At least when I last summed having had such a case with a WU i did, it only included those values that were *not* deviating extremely from the median. Take e.g. the total of the ones that have a seeming realistic claim and divide by their total e.g. the initial 13 in your case. Wait until the quorum is validated and verify if that still stands. cheers

???
----------------------------------------Considering the way the data is cut into workunits, could there be a leftover one now and then? That happened a lot with the old grid.org. The algorithm was recently changed to make workunits a bit shorter anyway, so could there be a difference in the end units? I have seen one or two close to 1/2 to 2/3 size, but nothing this small. The techs will await your report of success with the device number. ???

Wait until the quorum is validated and verify if that still stands I forgot that "Pending Validation" can also lead to an "Invalid" status... which is what finally happened to these 2 WUs.Cheers. Jean. |
