Two months ago, a trailer ripped-off a live oak tree limb in our driveway. We had to paint the limb with black spray paint quickly. There's something called oak wilt here. Painting the limb keeps it from smelling like "new wood", which attracts beetles that can spread the disease. One month ago, a garbage truck knocked off a limb 15 feet above the street. We had to call the tree pruner in to get that one. Today, we were getting a new washer and dryer to replace the 25 year old Maytags that died on the same day. The old dryer was putting out gray smoke, but we stopped it and retrieved the load before anything happened to it. The old washer was full of water but decided not to spin up. While turning around, the delivery truck managed to rip-off a small tree limb. This one was about 12 feet up. Wifey wondered how I was going to get up there. After coming back with a 16 feet ladder, I noted that there happened to be a 12 foot high truck sitting there. I placed the ladder against the side of the truck, climbed up quickly, sprayed the limb with some clear-coat this time, and returned to the ground so the truck could head out.

...climbing on the truck, which was only there temporarily.
----------------------------------------The roof is still there today. I can climb up there at any time, but the break was over the street. ![]()

Perhaps the game would work better if you had a FOOT pedal.

I don't know why, but you up on the ladder against the truck brought to mind the slapstick in the Keystone Cops. I can imagine the double-take on your face had the driver started the engine up -- ![]() |

The truck has gone and it is still raining. Limbs are drooping.
