Coding the night away.

Got coffee, got soft music - what more can a code poet ask for?

And who's the programmer's muse? Somehow Stroustrup doesn't quite fit? Dijkstra? Turing? Hardly Pierides, these.

You know, I think programmers can borrow the Classical Muse, Melpomene.

Re: Coding the night away.

Melpomene, the muse of tragedy?
I would expect you to pick Calliope since you are doing poetry, Polyhymnia, the muse of geometry, or even Urania, the muse of astronomy.
I love Wikipedia biggrin

Re: Coding the night away.

Very well than. I have more than one piece of code for which I claim either divine inspiration or complete insanity.
It's often humbling to look at a piece of work done many years before and make the comment "who wrote this piece of junk" only to realize my name is in the authors field.

Dear Didactylos

When I type at the keyboard, I think the proper code is philosophy rather than amuse - sorry - a muse, and the right philosopher would be Didactylos, as I only type with two fingers.
