World Community Grid has rolled out some exciting new updates to the web site. Read on for more information:

Team Challenges: Team captains can now create Team Challenges. This includes inviting other teams to compete to see who can get the most Points, Results, or Run Time for a given time period, as well as creating Open Challenges that any team captain can choose to join. We hope that by participating in Team Challenges, members will be encouraged to recruit new members and new devices to boost their team's output. Most of all we hope that this will be a fun new feature for members to enjoy.
- If you are a team captain, you will now see an Issue Team Challenge button on the Team Control Panel. Other team members will see Current and Upcoming Team Challenges below the Team Statistics. You can view the Current and Upcoming Team Challenges for other teams as well by visiting their Team Info page.
- There is an additional Team Challenge listing that begins on the Statistics By Teams page, with a link that will let you view all Team Challenges and sort them and filter them by type. Clicking on the name of the Team Challenge will bring up the Team Challenge page with the details and relevant statistics.
- Team Captains are not notified about the challenge. They will only be able to see the challenge on their team page.
- Once they have the challenge, team captains can use the team email feature to rally their team.

Team Categories: Team captains can now specify a country and organization type for their team (if applicable). In a few weeks we'll be updating the statistics pages so that you can view teams by country and type.

Partner Page: We've made the following changes:
- We reduced the "Our Partners" page introduction so that the partner content is nearer to the top of the page.
- Formerly you could only filter partners by organization type. A new filter has been added for Country
- A key-word partner search has been added.
- When searching or filtering, you will now see the number of results produced by the search.
- Partner affiliates are now listed in alphabetical order.

Help Cure Muscular Dystrophy: Because Phase 1 ended, we made the following changes:
- Members who elected to participate only in HCMD: We reset theses members to participate in all projects. Phase 2 will start later this year or early in 2008. When that happens, you can change your setting back to participating in only this project.
- Research Pages: Usually we move completed projects to the "Completed Research" section. For this project, we left it under the "Active Research" category but added a bold sentence at the top of the description to describe the status change.
- On the Statistics By Projects page: We changed the status from "Active" to "Inactive".
- On My Grid / My Projects: We removed the Help Cure Muscular Dystrophy project as one of the options.

Registration: BOINC for Windows is now the default download for members with the Windows operating system.
