Re: device profile

Hello marysduby,
My Grid - Device Manager and My Grid - Device Manager - Device Statistics should only show devices that match the criteria in the drop-down menu at the top of the page. The default is anything that has returned a result in the last week. My Grid - Device Manager - Device Profiles should show all 3 BOINC predefined profiles (Work, Home and School) plus all the named UD device profiles that you have created and not deleted.

Just what is the problem? In detail, please.

Re: device profile

Actually except for BOINC default, the other three are options to create those profiles. ATM i have Home and Work, but for the remaining standard profile it still shows "Create A New BOINC Device Profile for School". Profiles once created for BOINC cannot be deleted.

Opposed UD has an option to "Reset All Devices To A Single Profile", which probably will kill any previously created (not going to try).

At any rate it's odd to have active devices not listed in the default view of:

Installed/Registered Device: in the last 7 days
or With Result(s) Returned: in the last 14 days.

If a active device, defined as a computer that has returned a result, does not show, it may have erroneously been registered to another member name? If you have more than one member name registered, suggest to look there. Certainly suggest to check out this FAQ: http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/forums/wcg/viewthread?thread=14384 It explains how to check to whom a client is registered,

Else, it's a bug we need to report.

Re: device profile

When i go to My Grid page then i click on My Statistics Then click Device Manager it takes me to all current machines which are Boinc then click Device Profiles it takes me to United Devices Device Profiles which lists all the devices that were original UD when i first signed up before Boinc. Then i click Reset all Devices to a single Profile it only lists the original UD devices and none of the Boinc devices sad

Re: device profile

I'll report it to the technicians, but meantime can you copy / paste / post all the lines below the section header "BOINC Device Profiles" on the Device Profiles Page.

Are you saying that if you go back to Device Manager, the BOINC devices are no longer listed?

Re: device profile

marysduby, the way the page is set up gets a bit confusing. Sorry. There are separate sections for UD and BOINC profiles.

The "Reset all Devices to a single Profile" option only applies to your UD devices.

If i go to Device Manager Boinc shows up then when i go to device profiles it shows my old ud names there must be some way to delete those

Re: device profile

Hello marysduby,
What happened when you chose the Delete option in the device profile (out of Delete / Save / Cancel)?

Re: device profile

Actually tried it and Reset All Device To a Single Profile offers to select which profile to move all your *UD* devices to.

Edit: Ah jah, that's what Lawrence is saying and Didactylos confirms below.... that bottom button:

Re: device profile

You can delete all UD profiles except for "Default". There is a delete button at the bottom of each profile page.
