Re: Christians are giving... come give with us!

Olivia, the ideal temp limits vary from maker to maker.
My Intel Celeron is happy at 46C (115F), while my AMD Athalon is a bit on the hot side at 64C (any more air flow in that box and it will go airborne!).
Some of the newer processors are comfortable up to 85C or above.
Many of the over-clocking web sites have temperature charts for the different processors. Do you know what processor your computer is using?

Hi Olivia,

I have several AMD-processors here and they all can withstand a temp of 80C max.
Usualy they are around 45C-55C when crunching WCG (they never stop wink ).
The Intel-processors I don't know, i've never bought ever since 1997 biggrin
What I understand of a friend of mine with Q6600, it's not getting warmer then 45C and it's max is about 75C.

Hope it was usefull.

Yep, a cow in the house for some friendly competition! smile Let's see where we end up.

I heard there was an outbreak of the bluetongue disease in Holland, I sure hope this doesn't affect the performance of all our cows! wink

Best wishes,

depriens (DPC)
