haldav Mary Well said, Mary. You know best, though, come to think of it, I am just substituting (inter)active web addiction for passive tv.brink Dirk Froggy I see the forums here are a lost cause. Actually, in some cases, sadly you may have a point. ![]() I would have to say in "most" cases. ![]() ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Well I dont think its a waste at all. IF YOU KEEP YOUR EYES OPEN YOU MIGHT JUST LEARN SOMETHING. I dont know how that happened but i am not going to do it again with one finger!!. This place has been verry good for me I hardly ever watch TV anymore and there are some nice people here And a few jerks like me Perhaps I should have used a or a or at least a on the end of my post instead of a . I was not that serious.Nothing wrong with being here. There are some nice people here. Even if you disagree with their standpoint, religion etc, you have to remember that they are crunchers, and that you would probably agree with them on the reasons for doing that. Escape TV if you want to - particularly if its sport (if you like it, you should be out there doing it), reality TV (don't you have enough of reality in reality?), Soaps (ditto Reality TV), Adult TV (if you like it...Ahem) You could also;- 1) Get some theatre tickets. Just at the moment, you could even go for an outdoor English Summer On The Lawn Performance (in the rain). 2) Listen to some music. If you need some cheering up try some Radiohead or some Leonard Cohen. Don't listen to loud dance music via an Ipod on a train while sitting next to someone doing no (3). 3) Read a book. Again if you need cheering up, go for "We Need To Talk About Kevin" by Lionel shriver. 4) Go to a pub (if old enough). Take a friend - after all its his round. If you are lucky it won't have a TV and they will have some nice beer. But dont drink too much because it will only make you fat and unable to see the apparatus required for the more practical aspects of (5). 5) Go get a Lover (again assuming you are old enough). This can make 1 to 4 (this is not an exhaustive list) much more fun. If you already have a lover, remind him/her thet you love him/her. In the above I have used bold or italics for emphasis rather then CAPITALISATION which is considered as shouting. And if you do spend that long here, Gerald, you really ought to be able to type with more than one finger by now! Just Joking ![]() |
