Re: Startup

Did he not get it running on Vista, or not just leave the computer crunching long enough to get past the first checkpoint?

Re: Startup

That's for Vegeto/daniel to answer if he observes a new download each boot.

Re: Startup

since there were some issues to the program files folder i re-installed it on a another partition

from C:\Program Files\Utilities\WorldCommunityGrid\

to E:\WorldCommunityGrid\

i dont think there should be a problem with this folder

Re: Startup

Okay.

Please bear in mind that you will normally lose a small amount of work when you restart the agent. If the science application hasn't checkpointed since starting a work unit, then it will start again from 0%. Can you be sure this isn't what you are seeing?

Don't worry, there are still some other possibilities to investigate. However, you may want to switch to BOINC instead. It's much better than UD.

Did u explore e.g. the shutdown time problem point 5 of the FAQ? There is no 1 stop shop solution and multiple items may effect the operation, for both BOINC and UD agent.
