can this be done on a cell phone with java?

I have a Nokia Sliver - Symbian OS I think. Just thought since it is sitting idle all day, why not let it contribute. I don't have an internet connection for my home computer anymore but I would like to help out if possible.

They simply aren't fast enough. Even if you did use the relatively small amount of processor power available, it would drain the batteries stupidly fast.

So that would be a no.

I wonder if the iphone will have the power to crunch away at this.
They are selling a 4GB and 8GB model with 10 day standby battery.

Wrong sort of memory, I suspect. And just see how long that standby power lasts when the CPU is at maximum!

But desktop computers are always going to outstrip mobile devices, at least for the forseeable future.
