I installed the grid program day before yesterday, but then yesterday, upgraded my virus scanner to McAfee VirusScan Enterprise 8.0.0 from 7.something, and now the Grid won't run. It will occasionally give me a pop-up box with a title of Grid Agent, a red circle with a white X on the left side, no message, and a button at the bottom with no text. If I click the button, the box goes away, and shortly thereafter, the grid icon on the toolbar goes away. McAfee 8.0.0 has two features not found in 7.etc. One is a kinda port-blocker, but I have checked the log, and it is not doing any blocking. The other is an unwanted programs blocker (spyware), and it may be causing the problem but it is looking for specific programs, so I wouldn't think so.
