Hi schaengel
----------------------------------------Currently you have to submit you name and password to view your profile each time you visit the forums You can view the forums without logging on However, you cannot post, or modify you messages without being logged on After a period of 30 minutes of inactivity, you will automatically be logged off and you will have to log on again This can be frusterating, especially if you are creating a long message and the system times out and logs you off Tip: It is a good idea when writing messages to copy them to the clipboard before previewing or posting them, then if you lose them due to the system logging you off. you can go back and paste the clipboard contents into the message box This will save you retyping them all over again Regards [Edit 2 times, last edit by Former Member at Jan 11, 2005 3:11:26 PM] |

There is no cookie with permanently stored ID. You can read the Forum without signing in but you must sign in to post to the Forum or to enter the Member Area.

Your browser must be able to accept cookies. Also, check if any spyware/adware blockers might be changing the behavior of cookie handling.
I discovered that ZoneAlarm's privacy/cookie settings were giving me the same problem. When I turned cookie control to "off," the problem was fixed. I would bet a lot of users with ZoneAlarm might be having this trouble. |

Are you upset because each time you return to visit the site you have to sign in again or are you upset becuase while you are visiting the site during a single visit you are asked multiple times to sign in? Thanks, knreed |

----------------------------------------If he is looking to have the same function as is available on eBay, you are allowed to select "always keep me logged on from this computer" which will allow you access to such things as "My eBay" where you can view items you are bidding on and favorite sellers, etc.. I believe that when you want to perform any action, such as making a bid, you are required to login at the time you perform that action. Hi schaengel
----------------------------------------This is not currently working with Internet Explorer but as a work around until it gets sorted on the WCG website I use Firefox which supports the function you are looking for. Download it here from http://www.mozilla.org/products/firefox/ Regards Dave |
