lalalala

slashdot is clearly not getting enough credit.... we came conquered and now in most categories we are double the #2 (coughIBMcough).

i read the slashdot article and recruited me plus 2 other machines and im trying to get more peepz in it

grid computing is amazing

would be nice if ibm would put up a fight :D
that would DEFINATELY spark some competition and bring some nice number crunching serving :P

biggrin Re: lalalala

Actually if IBM consolidated right now the Slashdot users would not be in first place in all categories. IBM has pulled some surprising moves in the past and I have the feeling that Slashdot Users are the hare in this race and IBM is the turtle. Slashdot Users should learn from that fable and not gloat or rest on our laurels.

From an overall performance perspective all the IBM groups are more than a match for Slashdot Users. In this case the numbers do add up to favour IBM.

cool

Re: lalalala

As of yesterday
The top 12 IBM teams combined had generated 27,518,274 points
This was accomplished by only 1854 members
That is 1184 less than /. has currently
And twice as many points than /. had yesterday
Thats only the top 12 teams
If all the IMB teams combined it would total over 39,000,000 points
Be careful what you wish for if you want to stay in #1 place

Regards

Re: lalalala

Anything that helps increase output, especially healthy competition between IBM and "/.", is good.
