Servers not responding?

I've got 4 different machines on different networks that can't communicate with the servers. They've all done at least one send/receive cycle and I've run the original UD Cancer project for years so I'm feeling pretty confident it's the server. They each want to receive around 2500 bytes and then time out.

Re: Servers not responding?

All three of my systems came up with a similar error sometime in the past day. Turns out due to an update to the grid code that was downloaded Windows XP firewall no longer trusted it. Went into the firewall tool and allowed the grid client full access and that fixed it right up.

Re: Servers not responding?

I'm running XP on only one system, without SP2 so I don't have the new firewall code. The other systems are running Win 2000 and don't have a software firewall, but are behind a Linksys router.

Can anyone in the know tell us if there has been a change to the ports used by the agent, or anything else we need to know? I'm still unable to connect, going on 36 hours.

Thanks.

Re: Servers not responding?

I'm having the same problem which started yesterday, 11/11/04 and continues today. Was your probelm the server or another problem? Thanks for your help.

Re: Servers not responding? FIXED

OK, with me doing absolutely nothing, all 4 systems got new work units from the server within a few minutes of each other at approximatley 6:30PM Central time.

Would have been nice to let us know what was going on during the outage....

smile Re: Servers not responding? FIXED

This is an artifact of transitioning from beta work to the final production work. This should not be a problem in the future. Thanks.
