Project completion?

How close is this project to completion? Was wondering because Genome Comparison is close to completion.

Re: Project completion?

It will run for the rest of the year and beyond. How far beyond I don't have a clue at this point.

Genome Comparison still has a couple of months to go.

Re: Project completion?

How much will the completion of the HCMD Phase I and the upcoming CG completion speed up the other projects like HPF2 and FAAH? Maybe some earlier than expected completion dates with more computers crunching the wu's, or was that already factored in? Then again, I'm sure something else will roll out to take some processing time too... hmmm... just have to wait and see I guess. As long as there is work to do its all good!

Re: Project completion?

The other projects are getting more work. See the overall project graph.

There is plenty more where that came from. The researchers may feed us more to existing projects, and new ones will be coming up soon. Watch for Dengue Fever late in the Summer. The new Cancer project will come up sometime around then, and HCMD phase II will not start until next year because of needed program changes.

We are not given exact dates because each new project changes the mix.

Re: Project completion?

They have more projects coming online very soon. We will see 3+ projects at once again. I believe that the Dengue fever project is next to start. I recently crunched some beta's for the Dengue fever project. I believe they are waiting until the new FAAH project rolls out today before they start the Dengue fever project.

Re: Project completion?

Actually, if we keep crunching this fast, it's gonna end in about 4 months! But I'm afraid this is won't happen, 'cause a couple new projects are about to arrive and the computacional power will be shared again ^^!

It's not just a matter of waiting. FAAH was the first to use the new version of autodock (looks the same). Other projects like Dengue Fever are being set up with the same autodock. If FAAH didn't work, the others wouldn't either.

FAAH is now running well for me and others, so it appears that they are good to go so far, as soon as the techs get everything set up.
