Graham Richards asked me to post the following
"I am sure that the NFCR , when letting people know about our recent work on the Ultra-fast shape recognition method, referred to the Screen saver project because at the time when they put that in the Newsletter, they were unaware that the project was going to stop so suddenly. We were all in the same boat. UD had to stop for commercial reasons and despite trying, did not find anyone else to take on the project and its costs. I would happily collaborate with anyone who was going to a comparable project as I am sure would the NFCR who have been very generous in supporting the work we did. As to the results from the last runs, these like the earlier ones are being analyzed so that a selected number of compounds can be synthesized and tested. This too is being done in collaboration with the NFCR. I hope this satisfies Dave and others, and the link to our web site with my thanks to everyone is still open http://www.chem.ox.ac.uk/cancer/news.html Thanks for all your help " Best wishes Graham |

and We've just buried Grid.org in Regents Park Lake Since it's in Austin, Texas, I'd say it's either in Lake Austin or Town Lake. We have others, but there's no need to drive that far. Since the drought has been busted here, everything's FULL. Lake Travis is elevation 681' and full of water. It was down to 640'. Where does it go? Rice farmers downstream have first rights. Imagine that.![]()

Hi Jean Pierre
----------------------------------------Thanks for getting in touch wth Dr Richards that's certainly a step in the right direction. It seems everyone was taken by surprise over UD's demise! Now would appear to be the time for bbover3 to get on the Phone to Dr Richards and the NFCR in light of this great statement "I would happily collaborate with anyone who was going to a comparable project as I am sure would the NFCR who have been very generous in supporting the work we did." Let's carry on the work started out by the dedicated UD Grid.org crunchers ( I put in 5 years worth over there before jumping ship) so the spirit of Think and Ligandfit lives on. Thanks JP Dave ![]() |

Just a bump to keep this in view so that IBM may still see it pick up the baton and run with it

Dave,
----------------------------------------if you've noticed, mention one of the tech or admin names and they're on the board in no time (reading for sure).... so happens that bbover3 is out of town since about the last Friday. ![]()

Thanks JP.

Thank you JP and thanks Dr. Richards. I totally ignored tghis thread, thinking from the title it was just a load of nonsense. Diabetes is also a dangerous, potentially fatal, incurable disease, and if we can do little about Ca at present we could concentrate on that.
A little bump now and then can do no harm. |
