It appears that WGC shows results returned but no poiints. The BOINC client also she no work done on its stats, but they are clearly being processed

Kief75, when using Boinc the results have to be validated before points are issued - this can take several days or sometimes even longer.
If you go to My Grid>results status, you can check on the progress of your submitted results there. |

The next website update will have some clarification and reorg on the My Grid page so that it becomes more clear what scoring relates strictly to BOINC. If interested, the Start Here forum has some info on the meaning of the Result Statuses. Work send out in initial sets of 3 or 19 (HPF2 only), have 9 days deadline. Until all 3 (or 15 at least for HPF2) are returned no validation attempt is done and credits are not determined. Credits you see on the Result Status page need multiplication by 7 presently to arrive at equivalent comparable WCG points.

I know about pending validation, but I have noticed lately that the credit claimed and what is granted are starting to get farther apart for the most part.

Fact: The credit is computed from a summing and averaging the claims in a quorum. 100+100+70 will generate 90. Now,
----------------------------------------It's the pain of the quorum system where the benchmarks of the newer clients are consistently higher then before. Take your hourly claim you used to have say 4-6 months ago with the one now. You can calculate that by summing whetstone+dhrystone value and divide result by about 480. I bet you that number is higher now than it was then. The snag: There are many people who just crunch for the crunch and don't care too much about the benchmark or the credit. Probably they are still on 5.4.9. Add to that the unstable benchmark of 5.8.16 particular on dual core machines. Well that's resolved with 5.10 which is nearing final final release.....wait on the 'Go' from WCG to upgrade. PS: Linux has historically lower benchmarks are windows. The windows benchmarks are in fact inflated, BUT the benchmark for Linux in 5.8 and further in 5.10 has been increased to meet Windows levels. Thus the melting pot effect in HPF2 will improve once the migration to 5.10 is starting to take place. Added: Not having a melting pot is called Heterogeneous Redundancy. Except for HPF2, only the results from the same operating system are compared i.e. Linux to Linux to Linux. With HPF it's Windows to Linux to Mac(Intel).
