Whoo! The first downloaded whaeveritscalled is running at around 1% per hour. At that rate, it's gonna take over 4 days to complete the thing. Is that normal here?
Trust me to get stuck with a thing like that.  |

Don't worry about it, you will still have it completed long before the time expires on it. The last WU that I downloaded is only 35% complete after 17 hours, 7 minutes.
There is no rush here, so relax and let the WU run. It's not a race.  |

Thanks Warlock. Had to change almost everything because I was having major problems with the agent, my email etc. Seems to be ok now though, except for the agent running hellishly slow = 0.2% in 30 minutes.  C'mon all you guys and gals without a team to call home. join a team of people who crunch just because they want to help others.  ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ |

I'm having some real problems with the gigantic WUs I'm getting. My rig runs them for a few minutes to a few hours but freezes part way through. I've checked everything I can think of, but it still happens. Temperature, RAM, everything seems fine. It looks like my rig just doesn't like the huge things it's being stuck with. Is there a way to get smaller WUs assigned to it? I dunno. I keep having to abort the WUs right now.

You're a heck of a lot more polite than I would be. I've seen the other posts here asking you to change teams, and it's just not on. Frankly, I'd have lost it the first time it happened. Now I know I'm with the right team, and the right Captain. Lead on, my man. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx I've just uninstalled and reinstalled this entire shebang, and the agent is now at 3.4% after 34 minutes. Not exactly the speed of light, but a lot better than before. |

Not once, not for one second did I doubt that you would not discover a way to overcome your hanging PC problem You requested help, then set to with a real will. In the end, you overcame. I like people with that type of grit, and I want them as valued members of Imladris. The team 'will' go places here, it is merely a matter fo when. Any spotty faced glue sniffing erk with a bag stuck to his face could work out how to begin a team. I takes intelligence, leadership and personal courage to lead that team to something truly worth while. We are fully prepared to do that with you, as friends. But we are equally prepared to go the full mile alone. Those reading this will note that, not once did I state that ImLadris is my team. It was mine at conception, and at birth. It now belongs to the team as a whole. A team led by someone seeking only personal glory will fall into the ashes before very long. The team led by someone of wisdom, age, maturity and a great respect for all of humanty will be there when the race has been run. Such is IMLADRIS. |
