I assume this is punishment for not supporting a "games" forum Ya think  Sure didn't seem there were so many of those threads at grid but maybe they were.  |

Not punishment.......just the practicalities of NOT having a games forum Not to start flames, and this will be my last post about a "games" forum. At one time this was a sedate, science oriented site that crunchers who wanted to know about the science came to. It has, in my opinion, become a free for all social club, that has a few project threads. Don't get me wrong, I don't mind looking for the information I need or am interested in. If a "games" forum would bring back a small sense of stability and make it easier for those of us that crunch to use this site... I AM ALL FOR IT edit; anyone that wishes to discuss this further, email me...or we can pm at another project.

So who is haldav the prolific poster who has NOT returned a single result, while spamnig the chat forum. This is not a social club for lonely game players. We are here to crunch. I dont care about the normal crunchers starting threads but if you are jsut going to start threads while not contrubuting to the Effort.... well.... |

That's pretty cheeky to say the least. Personally I think it's good to have a lively, sociable community but it shouldn't be shoved in the faces of those who would rather not be bothered. I can relate to both sides of that argument. Unfortunately any sophisticated filtering capabilities won't be available for the foreseeable future and just setting up another forum for certain types of threads won't solve the problem of "clutter" in "recent threads". I would favor a rule requiring members to be making some measurable contribution to the cause. Although I have no idea how or even if that could be implemented.   |

Wasn't there something going on with haldav's name needing to be changed in one of scribe's team member 'help' posts? Think I remember reading something about that.
