If you got to this forum thru the Index, you can read the base function for each of the fora. If there is a problem related to a specific project, post in the Active Research forum of each Science that WCG runs

There you will find a specific post related to problems for those running Vista aka ME II. Vista: How to get WCG (UD) Agent & BOINC running. Your issue has several solutions, but by the sounds is re-installing, point 1 the quickest and most certain fix.
