Hi Sekerob
I think i have got the agent running pretty well now. The new job is almost at 72% now and the cp throttle is set at 100%. So i think that should be working now.The task run time i am looking at in the agent main window is 28 hours at the moment. So just wanted to know is it usual to get 71% of task done in 28 hours(while i am using the system in between). Is it too long? But i dont think i have been given any points for the job done or the cpu run time used on my system as i cant find anything on the My Grid page. Does the statistics update after the result is sent back or even when the task is still running. I dont have any idea of the actual CPU speed, i 'll try to get this CPU-Z utility from internet and might be able to give you that info as well. At the moment everything seems to be working fine. And thanks once again for all your responses. Regards Ashjavi |

Hi Ashjavi,
----------------------------------------The HCMD process runs on UD agent in ultra low priority. If u use the computer it pauses till your computer is idle again. 28 hours is not extreme at 71%... just let it run long as the % keeps creeping forward. just wonder, u registered on July 14, 2006, but never seem to have recorded a result or registered a device. Did you not run the agent before the problem started? Your first post in this thread says "... just started using UD...". If you ran it before and your agent does show points, what member name is showing right hand top in the agent? As for statistics, the agent updates immediately upon a result return. The My Grid page only updates after 00:00 and 12:00 UTC. Let us know your findings when you got the CPU-Z program to verify the CPU speed.

Hi Sekerob
You have got it right i registered on july 14 2006 , but i wa snot very keen to keep a task running on my sytem all the time. Not only because i did not wanted to but also i did not had a very good system at that time. Thanks a lot for your reply but i am still thinking that does the server give a more complex job to a better system as my other system is completing tasks at much faster rate.(And the specs for that system is not as good as the first device i installed). I have got the tool CPU-Z.The "Core speed" i have got for the CPU is 2666.7 MHz,"Multiplier" field is x20.0, "Bus Speed" field is 133.3 MHz and "Rated FSB" field is 533.3 MHz. Is that of any use?Can you explain these terms to me and how they are connected to the working of the unit. Regards Ashjavi |
