It's a familiar error. It means (!) that you have a problem with your SSL CA certificates.
To help us solve this quickly, please will you tell us your BOINC version, where you got it from and what operating system you are using? Thanks. (By the way, the reason you get this from WCG and not other projects is that WCG is the only project that requires a secure connection to their servers.) |

Hi Doug,
----------------------------------------Linux we presume.... could be the ca-bundle.crt certificate is missing from your BOINC program directory. WCG needs it for secure comms TTYL

Hello Doug Worrall,
Go to the nex to the top bar of the Forum and click on SEARCH (in front of RULES). Enter ca-bundle.crt and search. You will get multiple pages of hits. I am not running Linux so I cannot guess just where it is in your distribution, but one of those threads should cover your problem. Lawrence |

Ah, PClinuxOS. That sounds familiar. And you installed BOINC using the package manager?
It's a broken port. Another broken port *rolls eyes*. You can fix it by placing the ca-bundle.crt file in /home/doug - get ca-bundle.crt from here: http://boinc.berkeley.edu/trac/browser/trunk/.../ca-bundle.crt?format=raw |

Looks "if I can get rehooked" will be crunching 24-7 For the Month of JUNE 2007. W2G WCG Doug Worrall |

We like to be on top of every 'Project of The Month' team list
---------------------------------------- . Maybe mine will do too one time... daily top 15 recently it would be nice to show of in top 10 Several posts on the forum discuss this ca-bundle.crt, where to get it and where to put. This is what knreed (wcg tech) wrote on Feb.16, 2007: If you built the client yourself then go look at: curl/ca-bundle.crt in the source code. Move the ca-bundle.crt file into the install directory of your BOINC client. This file contains the public signatures of many of the trusted signers of SSL certificates (and in particular it contains the public signature for Entrust which is the company who signed our SSL certificate) restart BOINC and all should be good. Let us know how it goes. Kevin Sekerob

Kevin THX Sekerob, Think When I reboot This Box, in about 5 days, will have no problem.YUP WCG is up by 2 Votes for POTM And near end of Month the Open Source crunchers "UNIX" vote for a "better" Open Source Experiment, like WCG.BOINC stands for Berkeley "Open Infractrutcture" for network Computing. My 2 cents, if that .See You Soon ev 1. "Good Luck" Me 2 Thx again Doug Worrall |
