Re: What are you listening to

The first one of course. The entire album is great, also e.g. "History Repeating" with Shirley Bassey.

Nah the first one goes on forever, I like the second one better with the images. wink

Re: What are you listening to

Pyotr Il'yich Tchaikovsky: 1812 Overture, Erich Kunzel (Conductor), Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra.
This Overture is about the defeat of Napoleon's army in Russia.
The last two minutes of the Overture contain the sound of real 19th century canons - just overwhelming on a high end HiFi equipment.

Re: What are you listening to

Limehouse Blues
from the LP "Jazz at the Pawnshop"
Recorded 14. Dec 1976 at Jazz Club "Stampen", Stockholm
ATR Mastercut Recording (Vinyl... of course).

Charles Kynard: Zambezi
from his Album "Your mama don't dance", 1973 (Vinyl... of course)

if you like him, try also this piece from the same album:
Superstition (you may know Stevie Wonder's Version)
... or try
Boogalooin'
from the album "Reelin' with the feelin' " , 1969, (Vinyl... of course)
All tunes best consumed on THE turntable: Technics SL-1200 with Ortofon "Broadcast" Moving Magnet system.
Charles Kynard left this earth too early. His dirty way of playing the Hammond B-3 Organ is that groovy...
