Hi

I just found out about the World Community Grid, and am excited to be able to play even a small role in something positive for the world. I've emailed the download link to most of my friends, and my computer is crunching away at Human Proteome Folding Phase 2.

Anyway, I wanted to say hello from Seattle.

Re: Hi

I see a nice long exposure in that market -- with several minutes worth of star trails.

We are happy that you already have put your computer to work. There are also some new text games in the chat area to occupy your time here.

Re: Hi

Hello. Today is my first day on this grid. I think I did something similar ten years ago on another computer. I'm glad to be helping with team Seniornet. That's a website for those over 50, plus there are Snet centers around the country including Bellvue. That's a great photo of the Pike Place Market. Thanks for posting it.

Can you tell me more about teams? Do I need to join one? I'm just happy to put idle cycles from my computer to a positive use, not interested in competitions or anything. So is it okay to not join a team and just run the software, or should I find one to join?

Re: Hi

You don't have to join a team, but it can be more fun to do so....I crunch because I can, but I joined a team that wants to have fun while making a difference smile

Re: Hi

Forrest Your landscapes are really awesome.
I have a daughter who lives in Truckee and the views from her home are so beautiful that I can forgive her for not wanting to leave.
Oh and the wildlife! Wild!

Most people do not join teams, Forrest.
We don't recruit away from our home page and our signatures are just like yours, passive but not invasive.
Just keep on keepin on.

We would love it if you wish to post more frequently because we already know a little about you and
we are a bunch of chatty friendly people.
