confused Graduation Gifts

I need to buy 4 graduation gifts next week. I really don't wish to feel like an ATM, just doling out money. So, I'm looking for gift suggestions. What has your kid, niece, nephew, neighbor received?

3 of the gifts are for high school graduates, and 1 is for an 8th grade graduate.

The high school grads are 2 girls and 1 boy. The 8th grader is a boy.

What are appropriate, and more importantly, appreciated gifts for these kiddos? Under $50, please. (I'll save the expensive gifts for when they graduate from college.)

Re: Graduation Gifts

I totally get not wanting to just hand over cash! Here are some ideas that have been hits in my experience:

For high school grads:

Girls: A personalized necklace or bracelet, a cute journal or planner, or a gift card to their favorite store or coffee spot.

Boy: A nice water bottle or travel mug, a fun book, or a tech accessory like wireless earbuds (there are affordable options under $50).

For all three: A fun experience—like a small board game, a DIY craft kit, or a quirky mug—can feel personal without breaking the bank.

For the 8th grade boy:

Something practical for middle school or hobbies—like a sketchbook, a cool LEGO set, or a beginner’s sports accessory (basketball, soccer ball, etc.).

The key is little touches that show you know them—personalized or hobby-related gifts usually get remembered more than cash.
