Poor guy! I read, he won't be able to drive for 2 months. Italian newspapers want, that Michael Schumacher takes over his car for the next 2 races. Nonsense for me! Ferrari has 2 very good test drivers, Badoer and Gene, who could do the job. It seems that schui is to take the seat cant believe that this is the case what's the point of reserve/test drivers if you can parachute an OAP who wasn't quite allowed onto the pit wall just hover in the back ground for all meetings he attended ................. A spoiler for the other teams, no doubt he is capable of jumping in the car driving and winning cold. he is a driver of great skill the pundits tell us that he hasn't driven the car hasn't driven a F1 car since he stopped racing Dont kid me with that sort of hype he is a Driver that would take a 2cv and wipe the smile off any drivers face we wait and see The machinery is right just needs a dedicated driver ---------------------------------------- [Edit 1 times, last edit by densnaps at Jul 29, 2009 5:51:50 PM] |

And bye bye
Nick Heidfeld has expressed his surprise at BMW’s decision to withdraw from Formula One racing at the end of the season. Heidfeld has driven for the BMW Sauber team since their first year as a works entry in 2006. “BMW's decision to no longer compete in Formula One was totally unexpected,” the 32 year-old said on his official website. “I feel very sorry for the members of the team with whom it has been my privilege to work with over the years. I would like to thank all of them for their tremendous support and for everything we have achieved together.” The German is now focused on helping the team enjoy a positive end to the season, and finding a Formula One race drive for himself for the 2010 season. “I'm not going to lose sight of my ambition to reach the top in Formula One,” he added. “I'll be doing my best to support the team and ensure that we get the best possible finish to the season. As far as my personal future is concerned, we'll now be continuing discussions under these changed circumstances.” |

Ferrari joy as Felipe Massa leaves intensive care and is tipped to race again
Felipe Massa has been moved out of intensive care, with his personal doctor convinced he will race again. Massa's rapid improvement since undergoing surgery on Saturday to repair a fractured skull has prompted doctors at the AEK military hospital in Budapest to move the Brazilian to his own private room. It means Massa is now off the critical list, although the 28-year-old will continue Ferrari president Luca di Montezemolo is to see Massa again today after initially paying a visit on Monday when there were fears he may never drive again due to concern surrounding the sight in his left eye. However, Massa is able to converse in three different languages - Portuguese, Italian and English - and has now started to take his first few tentative steps out of bed..... |

What a day in F1. Massa recovering, BMW retiring, Schumacher returning, Renault drama (Valencia ban appeal, problems with Piquet).
