Next year maybe.

The one I would like to see would be Spa Francorchamps

The race + the beer would be better biggrin

Re: The Formula One Thread

Cheers Dave.
Where have all the posters to this thread gone? We used to have a big following but it seems most of them have left WCG.
Funny you should mention price. This winter, we were discussing where we are going to go on vacation this year. My entry was for the Circuit of the Americas F1 race at the new track in Austin. Hers was for the coast of Maine. I did some preliminary numbers for the F1 race and unbelievable as it may seem it, would cost about $10,000 USD for everything. She did her numbers and there wasn’t much difference for Maine. We decided to flip a coin and decide by May. It’s already the end of June and there has been no such coin toss. I’m starting to think we won’t be seeing Mount Desert Island in Maine or the Circuit of the Americas in Austin. The older I get the more I agree that there’s no place like home. At our age, it gets harder and harder to be spontaneous. laughing
Well, only a few days till practice starts at Silverstone.

Weather for Silverstone

Friday Practise might be damp

Saturday Sunnyish

Sunday overcast but not raining. Temperatures typical for this time of year Sunday might see 22C, 72F

Wind from the North West at 13mph - Headwind up Wellington Straight

By the time of the start of the race all of the above may have changed

Re: The Formula One Thread

Well a bit disconnected from F1.yes... to follow some soccer matches
in Brasil (Spain vs Italy to night)
But we are not gone ! Thks for giving these links. So i get a new reading of that talk between Alonso and Webber:
http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/formula1/22427945
Webber, a fair competitor, respected by all but ....yu know
Good luck to the one who is taking his place next season -this one should have that sort of free speech with him to think abt what he cud expect with Mr V...
I hope Alonso to reap again some more pts to distance direct followers
and jump ahead in case Vettel fell in an ambush

Re: The Formula One Thread

Nico R. followed by Mark W in practice 2. Maybe with Webber's announcement he will relax a bit and have a good race. Force India seems to be getting better this season. Ferrari ... ???
I hope it stays dry.
good luck
