I wonder if they're all finding a way home or just relaxing for a few days until flights get back to something like normal.

Just another week to go for the Europe season to get under way and I see Silverstone has been showing off its new track layout. It's designed to be faster and good for better racing. We'll see!

Schumacher reckons that modifications mean he will be competitive this weekend. Any takers?

Spanish Grand Prix 2010: Preview
Following another action-packed flyaway race in China, F1 returns to its home continent as the European leg of 2010 kicks off this weekend with the Spanish Grand Prix. The Circuit de Catalunya in Barcelona is used regularly for testing, and so the drivers and teams know the place like the back of their hands. This usually makes for pretty dull races as the cars have the optimum set-ups and are close in performance. This weekend could well be different though. The team pecking order is still far from decided yet this season, and with every team bringing their first big performance upgrades to the Spanish circuit, there could well be some surprising results. There is also a slight threat of rain over the weekend, and either qualifying or the race could be affected.... |

And I see that the top drivers are already concerned about the qualis in Monaco. With so many slower cars this year and a very tight track they are suggesting that quali one should be done in two groups.
I'm not sure I can see it happening at this stage in the season. |

Drivers push for split quali in Monaco Formula 1 drivers from both ends of the grid hope that the FIA will consider splitting the field into two groups for Q1 in Monaco to avert what could be a traffic nightmare. With the entry up to 24 cars for the first time since the Q1/Q2/Q3 format was introduced, and larger speed differentials from front to back than have been the case for many years, there are fears that qualifying on Monte Carlo's narrow streets will turn into chaos....... |

Those Red Bull cars look pretty lively again in free practice. Let's see if they can get it all together in an actual race.

And, indeed, they do cover the front row again. Can they, at last, turn that into a domination of the race?
