Joking aside, I have to say Dave Allen was an extrordinary comedian
One of the best at religious satire that I ever had the pleasure of watching
He had the ability to sit on both sides without causing offence to either

I'm glad I'm not the only one who remembers Dave Allen. wink

The shows broadcasted in the Netherlands were so much alike like our great commedians are, critical, kicking, offending once and awhile but still with respect, offering everyone a mirror to look to them self in a unexpected angle and let them smile .... pure craftmenship. hugs

The nowdays so popular, please no offence, US-style of "stand-up-commedians" are fun, well found ( some times ), rude and most of the time kick in open door humor, they keep you ammused untill you switch to the next chanel.
Dave Alen, and most of the traditional Dutch commedians, can keep you on the tip of your chair for a much longer time.

About my age.... biggrin

I do not like it at all, a "drive" is missing, it is not misterious enoug.. cool

I mis the mistique of the unknown. Let see ourselfs as 21th century crew onboard of a exploration mission..... and don't come up with "Crunching were no one has crunched before" style of Hollywood phrases. biggrin
