Let's try this one: What's created by the Gods is a chalange for the W.C.G. Another nice suggestion, and although being "a challenge for the WCG" does have more mystique, it is also a mystery as to whether WCG will beat the challenge. "Technology Solving Problems" is less mysterious, although it does concisely reflect that the problems are getting solved.  |

How about: "World Community Grid -Virtual solutions by virtual friends" or at least: World Community Grid -Virtual solutions by virtual friends who are not in Cuba!   |

I don't think we would care where a solution or a cure for some of the horrible ills would come from, if it were one of us that needed it, nor should we, if it offers hope to those in need. Hence"...virtual friends." is still appropriate to our goals and how we should act and be as a participating community.

Hence"...virtual friends." is still appropriate to our goals and how we should act and be as a participating community. I agree with you, as to the content and the spirit of your slogan, it is much more community-centric compared to "Technology Solving Problems". It may well be that someone from Cuba or another country excluded from the WCG may be the one to crunch the work unit that results in one of the cures. Anyone else with other thoughts on Hairy4Paws' slogan, "World Community Grid - Virtual solutions by virtual friends"? |
