Is there a way to make a link from the team information page to the team's forum thread?

You could set the team URL to the team forum thread - but this assumes you don't want to put anything else in the team URL.

Think there is a field already on the team page to enter that information. Additional you can add formatted hyperlinks in your personal signature to communicate this.
