How about creating a way to initiate transfer of the team like alot of other projects do.

How about creating a way to initiate transfer of the team like alot of other projects do. Hi Grizz, if you explain what exactly the other projects can do respective a transfer of a team (sub-team?), we can answer the question. Here, the individual is entirely in control of her/his team membership. Each would have to quite a team and join another and strongly doubt WCG would waiver from that principle. With the new Captain to Team Member group email communication a form of coordination is available. That works though only if the individuals have opted in to receive team mail. Let us know

How about creating a way to initiate transfer of the team like alot of other projects do. Why would they do that?Pluto's not a planet any more. Transfer them there. You can quit a team and join another team as many times as you want.

the other projects have an initiate transfer to change control of the team to someone else. It is done by the project sending an email to the team founder and they have two months to stop the transfer or they can allow it. this is useful if the founder is inactive or you want to contact them somehow. I am looking to contact the founder because we started a website for our teams across all projects and we want to let the other members to know. But we currently we can't contact the founder with the system you have in place.

Ah, now we know what you're after. The new member to captain mail system would do that if the 'want to be' captain and captain had opted into the new mail. After, the incumbent captain just needs quitting and the wannabe will be able to grab it. If the captain is not responding or plain dormant, send mail to support@worldcommunitygrid.org. WCG will give poke and if no response comes back, will remove the captain for someone else to take over. The free position can be taken by anyone visiting the team page and selecting the vacant position button.
