There are plenty of people who are willing to advise, but we need more information to start with.
If you double-click on the WCG icon to maximize the Agent, what is the Task State? Is the Work Unit 100% complete? 0%? If you switch to the Application View, what do you see? What Internet security programs are you running? Is there a router involved. What does Task Manager say? How much Virtual Memory do you have? How much RAM?
