Re: Post your old Grid.org name here

Hi everyone.
My name is NixChix at both places.

I first used NixChix when I redeemed a coupon for a free custom music CD online years ago (before anyone had CD burners) with the tracks chosen by my son Nick and his sisters. The CD was titled NixChix.

VAIO GRX616 here (originally) and then at Grid also; same at various other projects.

The 'name' comes from the laptop I was using when I joined the Pup over here at JTS - how things have changed biggrin

Hmmm, thats not what the opening post says:
To make it easier to find people, please post whichever userid's people knew you by at Grid.org - even if they're the same. Optionally, please include an explanation of your new/old username - etymology, personal significance, etc.

Nobody really "knew" me over at grid.org, because I never hung out in the forums (read them occasionally, but never spoke up), but if someone did happen to bump into me they would have known me GavisconQueen there as well. With this abrupt relocation from grid.org to WCG, I decided I'd check out the social scene here and reinvent myself a bit! As I mentioned in another thread, my title and kingdom were built upon the stress-induced ulcer I got in college many years ago. nerd

littlepeaks biggrin

I use little peaks because at work I analyze samples using gas chromatography/mass spectrometry. The instruments generate "little peaks" which need to be integrated. Hence "little peaks". One of my coworkers jokingly named our workplace the "National Peak Integration Facility". biggrin
