At least my council is envoking compulsory recycling in just over a week's time. Every little helps. OMG What does "compulsory recycling" mean ????? stocks on the villlage green? for those that put milk cartoons in the plastic's container |

Quiet day, been a bit overcast today but pleasant non the less.
Managed to get the back lawns cut, and a small amount of weeding, must try harder tomorrow.  |

bin busy today...bought a new pair of much needed trousres with a 'Next' voucher I got for Christmas *
My son has been flat moving today. He was in a flat and the landlord built some more next door, so the move wasn't too far.* The same landlord is now going to knock down the old flats (9 of them) and rebuild some more new ones (I reckon he'll get about 14 or so flats in the same space. He rents out to the less well off, so he gets the housing allowance straight from the council.** Kathryn and Toby Jake Bingham Morley-Towner are supposed to be leaving hospital tomorrow. They're both doing fine* * my smileypad is on the other computer* |

Evening all
Glad to see you've all been busy. Being the first Saturday of the month, I spent part of the morning on our Residents Association clean up of the 'Village' garden. We took over responsibility for this small paved square with gardens a few years back after it was largely left to moulder and got some finance from the Home Office to improve, get good benches and a wrought iron notice board so that now it is a relatively pleasant place to spend a little time to read the paper or eat a sandwich. I'm just a foot soldier but had great admiration for the few individuals determined to make a difference. |
