Re: The Edwardians have arrived!

I promise I will not do it again....but....for the Stataholics amonst us here are a few links...

The Normal WCG Team Stats

The Free DC WGC Team Stats

The BOINC Team stats

Alan, I am now getting paranoid crying Can you tell me why my stats are not showing?? confused confused
I'm not Alan but I'd be happy to try to explain Merle... If are usins the BOINC Agent there is usually a result pending Validation time which requires the return of the same work unit from 3 other comuters to cross check the validity of the result... In short two other computers must finish the result before it's complete... One advange in using BOINC is it has a cache feature that will It will to uploadicompleted work units and download new work all while crunching another W/U.

The UD agent as far as I know, doesn't require validation... and you should get credit for completed results immediately unless the work until fails during the crunching phase for some reason. To find out if you have returned any completioons go to the Stats page and click on your name. That will take you to your Stats page.
If your computer is rather slow it may take longer to process depending on how fast your computer is, and which project you are running the times can vary considerabley from the norms...
Another advantage is each completed result garners considerableymore points than the UD agent. Now that I have thouroly confused you, the best way to understand the differences is to read up on BOINC Wiki website.... http://boinc-wiki.ath.cx/index.php?title=Usin..._BOINC_Wiki_-_An_Overview

Re: The Edwardians have arrived!

Hi Owlie,

I am not using BOINC, but I have tried all the other things already that you suggested, and still no stats. Plus, believe it or not, my 'machine' is actually very fast biggrin(wot a waste I hear you say).

When I click on my WCG icon in my task bar it tells me I have 1874 points, and 2 days 13 hrs crunching to my credit.

So I am going to go away for 3 weeks, to Canada and Alaska, (not until crack of dawn on Thursday though) and not even give it another thought!! But thanks for your suggestions.

Re: The Edwardians have arrived!

Ok, I have just done a bit more poking around, and it would appear that I have two names, Merle and Merle Sweeney (don't ask me how that happened). So could this be the problem, and how do I rectify it, I would prefer to be just Merle. sad
