Hi, I allready have Boinc running succesfully on my Windows PC but now I have a PC that I use as "server" where I would like to install and run boinc also, I did all the steps mentioned at the download site but at the point of adding the project my Linux Debian doesn't react like mentioned on the site. what are the exact commands I need to enter in the terminal sessions to get it up and running to. (linux is pretty new to me
). I would most appreciate help with this. The PC is only running a TeamSpeak Server and is most of the time 100% inactive. greetz Qurmo |

With Debian, the recommended way to install BOINC is using Synaptic. You want the boint_client and boinc_manager packages.
Then launch the BOINC Manager (graphical) and you're home and dry. |

Start off by cleaning up the stuff you created earlier - probably a folder called "BOINC" in your home directory. Delete it, and the original setup script you downloaded.
Now go to System—>Administration—>Synaptic package manager and use it to install the two packages I mentioned - boinc-manager and boinc-client. Search for "boinc" and they should be listed straight away. And that's all there is to it. |
