Hi there,
I am running SETI@home for years now. Then I downloaded BIONIC mgr. (present ver. 5.4.11); then I signed up for Human Proteome Folding Phase2, and that is running independently. Finally I figured out how to add to bionic mgr. - except it only recognized WCG - not HPFP2. BIONIC mgr. downloaded a bunch of files from WCG, but I don't know if those are associated with HPFP2 or not (and does not show credit I earned for HPFP2). Is there a way to assign to BIONIC mgr. HPFP2 also? Jóska P.S. With SETI running all the time HPFP2 has no chance to ever finish - unless it is in BIONIC mgr. I guess (I usually snooze SETI to let the other 'churn'! ![]() |

BOINC should be running HPF2 already. Open BOINC Manager, and click on the Tasks tab. Look in the Application column. What do you see?

5.8.17 (Recommended for Linux), has the so-called Standard GUI, thus suggest to upgrade.

Indeed, Didactylos,
BIONIC mgr. downloads files from WCG; assigned 50% resource sharing to @ (SETI@home and WCG). But my old HPFP2 is also running and unless I 'snooze' BIONIC it never finishes! But when it does it just downloads a new file. Should I just kill it, or try to prevent it from loading new data ... but how? I also downloaded BIONIC 5.8.16.0. Until I rebooted it was running fine, but after a system boot 5.4.11 took over!? How is that possible? Jóska |

Ah, I see.
----------------------------------------You can now uninstall the old World Community Grid (UD) agent. Remove it using the Control Panel, like any other program. Your other problem is more confusing. No, wait.... it makes perfect sense! Oh dear, I knew this would happen. Did you get BOINC 5.8.16 from the WCG download page, or from Berkeley? edit: no I was wrong. I can't duplicate this problem. Thanks for the suggestion,
a little 'rummaging' around found the solution to my duplicate WCG runs: I have 'double' device registered with WCG - on the same computer BIONIC will list points (and work done) for both, but not the 'other' WCG device. Which is fine with me. I will follow your suggestion and delete the old program. Jóska |
