Tried to post a message in apple's support forums. They deleted it and sent me the following message:

Additionally, please refrain from including unrelated information in the Computer Model or Other Computer Information fields of your Discussion posts. Thank you for complying, Apple Discussions Staff The only thing I added besides my computer model is World community grid participant in the other information section. I just looked at my login info and saw they removed that part. What a bunch of crap. Looks like apple computer doesn't like grid computing community. Randy

Hi Bearcat,
More charitably, they probably consider advertising for grid computing to be a sort of spam, like chain letters. Promoting grid computing is best done on general chat boards rather than in dedicated service forums. Lawrence |

The only time anyone saw this was when I made a post because it was part of my signature. Wasn't like I was making posts talking about grid computing and to get people to join. Pretty sad when your doing something good for humanity and being told your not allowed to mention it.

Sorry Bearcat, but there a quite a few Forums that are more strict than merely deleting your post because YOU abused their rules as to what is permitted in your sig.
----------------------------------------The "original" idea for having a sig, especially on tech sites, was so nobody had to ask you 20 questions regarding what PC, OS & other specific related questions. Just look around any forum and see how many times people have to ask the same set of questions, over & over again ... it gets a little tiresome to the point that some "helpers" just don't bother answering the question, because you have not given enough relevant information.
