Hi,
About 1,5 years ago, I launched the idea that WGC should initiate a collaboration with Microsoft, in order to exsamine the possibility to implement the agent in MS`s operating systems. The forum participants then felt the idea was great, but not realistic. Now, with the implementation of the Stanford grid-client in Sonys PS3, this idea should be given new attention. Just try to imagine the effect this would have on the grid - it would be breathtaking. It certainly would add even more value to MS engagement in the challenges of the world community. Technically, the agent could be implemented as a part of Windows Update, in addition to being bundeled with new Vista installations. Hopefully, someone would soon realice that this is THEwin-win issue. Yours sincerely, Haavar Knutsen, Norway |

I think that's an excellent idea!
----------------------------------------If you can find contact names in the articles returned by the Google search, follow up with them. Also, you might consider suggesting the topic to one of the InfoWorld columnists. If they pick up the idea it could start to gain attention. -aann ![]() |
