PS, I think this belongs here..
http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/forums/wcg/viewthread?thread=12585 === I'm trying to look up "PS3" on these forums to see if I can get scoop on if WCG will deal with them[hopefully so since IBM is sponsoring]. Your search limits it so that I have to scan through bunches of snippets (have to guess) of text. I'd rather just read through threads and have capability to search and only get threads as results. And I like not having to use word verification and search limit on these forums :-) |

I have another idea.. How about a list full of things that wouldn't be PR timing comprimising like future PS3/Cuda clients, but with stuff like new forum software?

Maybe we could use the BOINC standard forums. I like the consistancy of using them on most of the projects I participate in. In fact spinhenge is the only project that uses other forums for no good reason that I participate in (I don't use the forums though).

That's not very good forum software, either.
WCG is different because we support two agents. But there's really no good reason to use the BOINC forum software. The only reason so many projects use it is because they don't have the resources to run anything else - just as WCG don't have the resources to fix this forum as promptly as they would like. |

Please make sure that it is able to, in big threads, jump to last page, or page 50/500, rather than having to go next, next, next. And looking for that future "todo list":)

Hello jhtrico1850,
This has already been fixed in recent releases of mvnForum. But we have not taken the time to update to a newer version. When we do, a lot of bugs will be fixed. Also, mvnForum is doing a lot of development to make sure that it can be used with Chinese and Japanese characters, which is a big plus point for it. Lawrence |

And looking for that future "todo list":) Here's a post collecting all the navigation ands search tricks.
