I've had about 6 WU with errors and the time crunched showed less than 2 hours while other people showed 12+ hours on HDC projects. Since this project is winding down, is it common for this many errors or is something wrong with my computer?

PS: I'm running a Sony VAIO laptop with Intel Duo Core CPUs and using BOINC 5.8.8. The platform is Windows XP Home if this helps. I've never had this many errors before while running this and other WCG projects. maybe once in a very great while an error would pop up.

If those 6 errors are sequential and others in quorum report success, than it is probable that your computer developed an issue, hardware or software. Go thru the 'Issue?' report in link below.
----------------------------------------duration reported is not an absolute factor. Sometimes I see a spread of quorum results from hours to many hours and all getting validated properly. Added: seeing the second post, though it should not be a factor, still recommend to upgrade to 5.8.15. Many bugs were fixed in the official version after the 5.8.8 release.
