Constant Errors

I'm assuming this is not normal for HPF2.

Re: Constant Errors

Please have a look in the thread linked below. No answer was found, but after a FAAH job, the HPF2 were normal again.

Re: Constant Errors

Sorry to hear that no solution was found. I've been running HGC up until this point on this machine, until I started getting HPF work units due to HGC being down at the moment.

I've switch this machine over to HDC for the moment.

Re: Constant Errors

I think I may have come up with something. I am undervolting the cpu in this machine.

Although no other apps have any problems - including other grid projects, I began to suspect the voltage settings. Some experimenting with prime95 showed unexpected rounding errors. Testing with a slightly higher voltage is showing no errors in prime95.

Re: Constant Errors

The algorythms are very susceptable to timings over multiple pathways.... slightest deviation like is known for OCing too and you will get slight off results, enough to invalidate them or cause them to err.

thanks for letting us know.

Re: Constant Errors

http://www.memtest86.com has another very good tester that will catch overclocking problems and memory problems.

http://memtest.org has memtest86+, a newer improvement.

Read about memory testers here:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Memtest86+

says that the first site isn't aggressively maintained. Get the +.
