I installed "World Community Grid" agent and Norton detected Trojan.Packed.13 on the next scan.
I had Norton repair the problem and it deleted the WCG agent. I rescanned and Trojan.Packed.13 was gone. I reinstalled WCG agent and rescanned with Norton. Trojan.Packed.13 was back. I downloaded the WCG agent from WCG home page. Does anyone know about Trojan.Packed.13? What is in WCG agent to trigger Norton? Hal |

Hi Hal3,
----------------------------------------No there is no Trojan (a supposed variation of the Storm Worm), it's only NAV/Symantec reporting this falsely and already we have a thread for it. http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/forums/wcg/viewthread?thread=12423 Restore the UD.exe from the quarantine section of the AV and if possible set an exception in the agent to ignore UD.exe. sorry, but it has been reported to Symantec for them to fix this overzealous analysis with their very latest library updates. You can also prevent the alert, by setting 'for the moment', the heuristic scanning level to normal, rather than high. From readings at other project using the UD agent, it's the 2006/2007 versions of the NAV/Symantec program as NAV 2005 with latest libs does not. cheers
WCG
