Go to old account and insert exactly (Case/lower case and all) the identical email address of your new account. It takes a while, but eventually the 2 for BOINC points should merge. The key is the so called Cross Project ID which is a hash number computed from the email address. One letter different (mentioned case sensitivity), and u end up with 2 CPID's thus lines on BOINCstats or any other BOINC statistics website.

When u attached the BOINC devices to WCG, u must have used the 'new' account. User names cannot be merged and devices at WCG cannot be transferred. Only detach and re-attach to old account would achieve that, but than your old BOINC/WCG points would stay with new account forever.

If in e.g. BOINCstats, user names are merged to 1 line when identical CPID's are found..... e.g DonKey & DonKong would become "DonKey/DonKong". BOINCstats for sure have both names in the records..... tell me both your names i'll research it.

Method to try:

Rename old account in My Grid, My Profile
Rename new account in My Grid, My Profile to old account name.

Don't know if the database can handle that or if it will say that the name was already used (in past).

Your team keeps an interesting naming convention and saw about 100 names starting with "[AF>France>" but nothing with Expat in it.

Just wonder are you now posting from old or new account as your stats here show last score on March 16...... UD agent possibly?

Anyway, i've exhausted the options..... identical CPIDs roll up in the BOINCstats usually.

in the link you provided i can only see CPID 2d97718dbed5f946550f34c067397f2f listing WCG as a project under the cjpa user name. cjpaterson makes no link to WCG.

The CPID is calculated, case, spaces and all for the email address. The algorithm is fixed for all projects use the same. If u maintain 2 user id's at WCG but with the same email address, both should compute to the same Cross Project ID.

If u set up a BAM account at e.g. BOINCstats and link your agents to that, the agents will try to synchronize the info at the frequency you set in the BAM account. Though BAM is not allowed to write at the present to the WCG profile, it does read the WCG profile.

BTW, i see 3 CPID's listed at Synergy across 2 user names under 2 different flags (Belgium and UK)..... no idea if flags have a reason for the scores to be split, but it would be logical.

Maybe it's a bug that should be brought up on the BOINC developers forum, but i really see only one registration to WCG shared with SETI, where you have 2 CPID's at SETI.... 1 under cjpaterson, 1 under cjpa. That's where probably the amalgamation has not taken place.

Added: That little bit that Didactylos posted below: "Second, you must attach at least one host to both projects.". Never think of it as all the boxes here are connected to all the projects I've enrolled into. Some suspended as one or the other box crunches different types of work at different times.

I'll just recheck all my instances of boinc and maybe setup a BAM-account to keep em all in sync. Was planning to do that anyway, just to get a gist of what's new in the account-management dept.

You can't... the scores will forever be associated to the new-ol name / device ID forever. Only at BOINCstats will the BOINC part of the results be merged thru the common CPID.
